Sikken skam! Sikken selvforskyldt afværgelse af godhedens kilde.

inPeople seem to be obsessed by the moon these days. So near. So beautiful. So clear.
And it is so.
Yet I am reminded of the beautiful saying of Imam al-Busiri:
»You travelled from one sanctuary to another in a small part of a night
Just as the full moon travels through the deepest of darkness
And you kept ascending untill you reached the point
of two bows’ length, never before achieved, nor ever sought«
… and I wonder what ecstasy the moon must have felt, when its Master ﷺ was described thus; his ﷺ heavenly journey likened to its own.
… and I wonder how the deepest of darkness became enlightened, when his ﷺ beauty pierced through it and turned it into its opposite.
… and I wonder how time fell into an ecstatic trance; giving way to so many events, without daring to proceed before his leave.
… and I wonder how the night felt, when it became the night of his ﷺ miraculous journey, eternally associated with him ﷺ in the holy words of the Qur’an.

Ho Na Ye Phool To Bulbul Ka Tarannum Bhi Na Ho
Chaman-e-Dehr Mein Kaliyon Ka Tabassum Bhi Na Ho
Ye Na Saqi Ho To Phir Mai Bhi Na Ho, Khum Bhi Na Ho
Bazm-e-Touheed Bhi Dunya Mein Na Ho, Tum Bhi Na Ho
If this fair flower (Muhammad) blossom not, the nightingale will not sing,
Nor rose‐buds make the garden of era smile welcoming in the spring,
If he is not the quencher, then nor jar nor wine will be,
Nor in this world will Tawheed (Oneness of God) shine, Nor your heart beat in you!

If Abu Lahab’s (by name cursed in the Qur’ān) punishment is reduced every Monday due to expressing happiness at hearing the good news of the Prophet ﷺ blessed birth by freeing Thuwayba (the one who brought the good news) then what do think will be the reward for those who believe in the Prophet ﷺ and express happiness at the time of his blessed birth?

“If my sin is too grave
to be forgiven,
Yet I have hope that God
will grant me refuge.
I will place my hope, when the Protector appears
in all His might,
In Muḥammad, the dispeller of sorrow and cares
In both abodes.
When I humble myself before him to ask
for the most precious gift of intercession,
What I ask for will be nothing to him
but a paltry thing.
And when the pious man presents himself
with his good deeds,
I will present before him
my repentant tears.
I will cling to the door
of the Prince of Prophets,
For he who holds tight to the key of the door of God,
will prosper.
For every virtue, benefit and favor,
whether performed
Or compelled,
comes from Him.
I will hold tight to a rope of praise for him,
which will avail me on a day
When bonds of lineage and kinship
are of no avail.
So for the sake of the Messenger of the words,
be gracious to us,
And do not increase the humiliation of his people
and their disgrace.
O my Lord, through Muḥammad you made
the Muslims’ beginning beautiful,
So complete Your grace and grant them
a good end.”

Celebrate this month, the birth of the most beloved to Allah – RasulAllah (salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) in the best way you can. He (salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) is the Father to the believers and His wives are the Mothers of the believers. Don’t hesitate to celebrate, to sing for Him, don’t let this golden chance of remembering Him and getting the energy of month go away. Celebrate in the best way. He (salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) is our Prophet. He (salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) is the most perfect one among all the creatures on the face of earth. Love Him (salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam). Send blessings upon Him (salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam).

O Allah,
by the station of the Beloved ﷺ in Your sight,
make Rabi al-Awwal a month of relief for the suffering of the Ummah.
13 Sunday Dec 2015
The month of Rabi al-Awwal is the month in which al-Nūr (Light), al-Burhān (clear proof of Allah), al-Ni’mat al-Kubra (the biggest blessing), al-Ihsān al-‘Azīm (the greatest favour), Our Master, Sayyiduna Muhammad ﷺ was born. A month when the lovers rejoice and remember the Prophet ﷺ arrival and events building up to and the miracles of their blessed birth.
Send as many salutations on the Prophet ﷺ as you can in the blessed month. It is through the Prophet ﷺ we received Islām, Imān, Qur’ān and all the other blessings of Allāh.

When the Noble Messenger صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم returned from the expedition of Tabuk in Madina, his uncle Abbas رضي الله عنه sought permission to recite some lines of poetry in his praise. He replied saying:
Recite, may your mouth remain fresh.
Thereafter sayyiduna Abbas began to recite his poetry, inside the Masjid, before the Beloved Messenger صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم and gathering of companions in which he mentioned the transition of our Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم in the loins of the previous Prophets and how he blessed them all, thereafter he said:
The day you [the Prophet] were born the sun rose
over the earth and the horizon was illumined with your nur.
So we — in that radiance and that light
and paths of guidance — can pierce through
Many scholars of Hadith quoted these lines of poetry including al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir in his Mawlid, Suyuti in Husn al-Maqsid and al-Khasais al-Kubra, Qastalani in al-Mawahib, and Ibn Hajar Asqalani in Fathul Bari commentary of Sahih Bukhari. Recorded in Khasais al-Kubra, al-Bidaya wa an-Nihaya
