Three Blessed Teachers from different countries

regent

In the Arab world, Imam Yusuf an-Nabhani (rahimahu Llah) was unrivalled, the same can be said for Shaykh ‘Abd ul-Haq Muhaddith ad-Dehalwi (rahimahu Llah) for his mastery in the Persian language. Similarly ‘AlaHazrat Imam Ahmad Ridha Khan (rahimahu Llah) in the Urdu language. It is as if these three were made from the same mould. These three individuals reached new heights in describing the magnificence of the Messenger of Allah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam.

Shaykh al-Kul `Ata Muhammad al-Bandyalwi rahimahu Llah –

I am a slave…

146095

I am the slave of the Master of Prophets
And my fealty to him has no beginning.

I am a slave of his slave, and of his slave’s slave,
And so forth endlessly,

For I do not cease to approach the door
Of his good pleasure among the beginners.

I proclaim among people the teaching of his high attributes,
And sing his praises among the poets.

Perhaps he shall tell me: “You are a noted friend
Of mine, a truly excellent beautifier of my tribute.”

Yes, I would sacrifice my soul for the dust of his sanctuary.
His favor should be that he accept my sacrifice.

He has triumphed who ascribes himself to him!
– Not that he needs such following,

For he is not in need of creation at all,
While they all need him without exception.

He belongs to Allah alone, Whose purified servant he is,
As his attributes and names have made manifest;

And every single favor in creation comes from Allah
To him, and from him to everything else.

The Sandal of Muhammad

165636

Upon this universe’s head is the sandal of Muhammad
It has ascended, thus all of creation is beneath its silhouette
At Tur Musa was addressed with “Cast off” whereas Ahmad
Despite proximity wasn’t directed to remove his sandals

A likeness representing a sandal of the noblest of prophetic messengers
Wishing for the place of its dust are the loftiest stars
As co-wives to it, are all the seven heavens altogether
Jealous and envious, as are the crowns of kings

The likeness of the sandal of the Chosen one; it has no parity
For my soul it is solace, for my eye antimony
How noble it is! An impression of a revered sandal
For it, every head wishes it was a foot

Since I realised the passage of time wages war on mortals
I made for myself its master’s sandal a stronghold
I fortified myself in its wonderful likeness
In an impenetrable enclosure I attained in its shade, safety

Verily I have served the likeness of the Chosen One’s sandal
That I live in both worlds beneath its shade
Ibn Mas’ud became felicitous by serving his sandal
And I am felicitous by my serving its likeness
Upon this universe’s head is the sandal of Muhammad
(Allah bless him and grant him peace)

– Imam Yusuf al-Nabahani rahimahu Llah –

No equality

1557

There is no equal to the impression of the Blessed Sandal of the Chosen Oneﷺ , It is Solace for my soul, Kohl for my eyes, So respect the imprint of the Exalted Sandals For every head wishes to be its foot.

– Imam Yusuf al-Nabahani rahimahu Llah –

The Sacred Hands

9420

Sayyiduna Usayd (radi Allahu ta’ala ‘anhu) narrates:

The beloved Prophet of Allah (Salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) placed his sacred hands on the companion’s chest and rubbed them over his face. After that, whenever the companion (radi Allahu ta’ala ‘anhu) would enter a dark house it would lighten up.

[Imam Nabhani, Hujjatullah ‘Ala al-‘Aalameen, Page 438]

Slave of his slave

1551

ana `abdun li `abdihi wa li `abd al-`abdi
`abdun kadha bi ghayr intiha’i

I am slave to his slave,
and to his slave’s slave,
And so forth endlessly.

– Yusuf Nabahani rahimahu Llah –

The impression of the Blessed Sandal

My sacrifice
