Imam Abdullah ibn ‘Alawi al-Haddad, complemented the famous poem the Madarriya of Imam al-Busayri, by supplementing the poem with additional verses.

The benefits of reciting it are immense. The composition of the poem remained incomplete as it had been related that when the Imam reached the verses “wa ma qas sha’sha’ al-qamaru’“, while he was standing by the coast, he saw a man walking towards him on water. The man said,

Stop here, because you have overburdened the angels in recording the merits of this poem!

Nonetheless, it is sufficient honour to knoe that the great Qutb Imam al-Haddad has composed these verses.
